2006 · “Yoga of Krishnamacharya”

The first captures, in mid-2006, are a small Japanese-language site introducing the teaching of T. Krishnamacharya (1888–1989), the Indian teacher often called the father of modern yoga, whose students included B.K.S. Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois, Indra Devi and his son T.K.V. Desikachar. It explained his principle that yoga should be adapted to the individual, not the individual to yoga, introduced the Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Foundation, and announced a two-day seminar on yoga for women.

2007–2013 · Healing of Yoga Japan

From 2007 the site carried the name Healing of Yoga Japan (HYJ): an association “established to carry on the teaching of Krishnamacharya and pass it on to Japan”, organising workshops with visiting teachers from Chennai, KHYF-certified teacher training, and charitable support. It became the Japanese home of the foundation’s programmes, and by 2013 pointed to a Japanese-language Facebook page sharing the teacher’s sayings daily.

2007–2010 · Studio Jyoti

In 2007 the site added pages for YOGA STUDIO JYOTI in Kugenuma, Fujisawa — described as the first studio in Japan dedicated to Krishnamacharya’s teaching, offering small group classes, private lessons and Vedic chanting in a garden-facing room with plaster walls, a teak floor laid over binchōtan charcoal, and underfloor heating.

2015–2021 · Placeholders

After 2013 the site disappears behind redirects, errors and a 403. In 2019 the name sat on a Japanese registrar’s “this domain was obtained at Onamae.com” page; in 2021 on a US host’s “Let’s set up your website!” starter page. Neither carried any content.

2025–2026 · Two hijacks

From September 2025 the domain served Chinese-language gambling-brand templates, the second with pages under a random prefix. They had nothing to do with yoga. This site makes no claim about who placed them.

2026 · A new owner

The domain was registered afresh on October 27, 2026 by its current owner, who has no connection to the association, the studio, the foundation or any later occupant. This site documents what was here and redirects every old address to the page that describes it. It offers no classes, training or certification.
